A grand renovation of a historical manor house required an equally grand bespoke kitchen to be commissioned.
The brief for this kitchen was to create something, traditional, elegant, prominent and requisite yet in keeping with a historical property. Essentially it needed to be outstanding but not stand out.
To achieve this we put the devil in the detail. We built bespoke birch ply cabinets. Added a traditional beaded face frames to the fronts and then topped it off with remarkable Wenge worktops.
Brass cup pull handles adjoin the drawers and matching knobs on the cupboard fronts.
Some of the extra details can be seen in the pictures below.
The cabinets feature custom Wenge fronted shelves. These along with the plinths tie the whole kitchen together.
The beading on the face frames really helps to emphasise the lines of the units. Its a subtle effect that draws the eye.
A unique copper threshold divides the two floor surfaces.
The Wenge worktop has been jointed to allow it to flow into the window recess and then further Wenge is used to frame the range cooker and provide storage.
