OUR DESIGN PROCESS

We are passionate about tiny details, big statements and well thought out design, but where do you start? Every commission is different but the initial process is the same. An informal conversation, either in person, over the phone or via email. We will try and establish what you like, what you need, for where and for when.

We want to ensure that you are absolutely enthralled with the end product and it meets all the needs you require. To do this the more information we can have the better. Spend some time thinking about any specific solution you may need and search the internet to find some examples of things you like.

Once this initial phase is done, we should be able to give you a rough estimate however final pricing can only be done once the design is fully finished and all the details decided.

Communicating the design is the most important part of the whole process. It can be very difficult to visualize how something will look in your home. By designing a 3d model of your commission we can help you visualize the final product. We then take this further.

When you are happy to continue the next step would be a home/site visit. Here we survey your space and spot any potential problems or other issues. The details from the survey are used to build an accurate 3d model of your space. This is really important as it allows us to ensure that the finished product will fit precisely where needed and it allows you to see the item within the confines of the space. With all this in hand we begin to design your commission.

A photo realistic image is created via our rendering software. Think of this as a virtual camera inside the model. We can add lighting, soft furnishings, simulate night and day, the potential is endless. Most clients find this phase incredibly helpful. For example we can show you your room with different flooring, different coloured walls, different appliances etc. How far you take this is up to you.
